Tell us about the last thing you got excited about.

As a retired bloke, I live a quiet, contented life with my missus and our two cats. But my real pleasure and excitement comes from spending time with our granddaughter. She is two years old and just at that exciting stage of life where she is becoming her own unique person, discovering her first likes, dislikes and passions. Like many children, she loves animals and dinosaurs, so any excuse to take her to a farm, zoo or animal enclosure always goes down a treat. It really is a joyful experience to be with her. She is teaching me so much about life, and the real meaning of happiness. Give her a crayon, a ball, or a bowl of water and she is ecstatic with joy. I learned today that children are 20 times more likely to smile than adults. I have no idea how they do that, but my little granddaughter seems to be on a mission to show me.
