How do you express your gratitude?

Gratitude

When I wake, I look around me. I see the beauty of the new day, I listen to the birds, and smell the fresh dew on the morning air. I’m thankful for my health, even when I may not be feeling my best. I’m thankful for all the comforts I have in my life: my beautiful home, my garden, and my possessions. There are so many things to be grateful for, when I look for them.

Gratitude is a state of mind. It’s a ritual you practice in your mind, by constant affirmation. It’s so easy to look around you and see people who have more than you, to think of what you want but don’t have. Whenever I think like this, I try to focus on what I’ve got and how lucky I am. In this way, I count my blessings, not my problems.

It must be an age thing, or surviving a significant event thing. I do exactly the same. In fact, I pretty much copy/empathise with the majority of your posts. That’s why I ‘like’ them.

That’s kind of you to say David. I guess we are all of a similar ilk beneath the hood. Thanks for your support.
