I have written and recorded two albums of my own music: Dying Days and Suspicion. Each album reflects my unique artistic journey. The songs are a blend of personal experiences and emotions woven into compelling melodies and lyrics. With Dying Days, I explored themes of loss and resilience, capturing the struggles we face in the passage of time. In contrast, Suspicion delves into the complexities of trust and doubt in relationships, inviting listeners to reflect on their own experiences. These projects not only represent my growth as an artist but also my dedication to creating music that resonates with the human experience.

Dying Days

Dying Days was recorded around 2008, by the brilliant music producer Mike Frankland who is sadly no longer with us. His tender arrangements and superb musicianship shine through on every track. Even more poignantly, the track Miss You was written as a tribute to my Mum who died from Alzheimer’s that year.

Dying Days Tracks: Dying Days, Miss You, Insecurity, 18 Again, When You Live Alone, Jennifer, Hanging On, When We have Gone,

Suspicion Album

Suspicion was written and recorded in 2010 by me in my own home studio. Every aspect of the album, from the powerful vocals to the rich musical arrangements, showcases my personal touch and dedication. I think it’s a very creative album, boasting a blend of genres that reflects my artistic journey, and one which I enjoyed producing so much. I really enjoyed the challenges and joys of making this collection of songs.

Suspicion Tracks: Chemical Queen, All the Way, Celestial Secret, Pray Ye, Suspicion, Sweet Desire, Media Baby, Lady Insobriety, Big Mouth, Salvation.

I’ve also recorded a few cover songs when I was in the band Red Book: I’m all over it now, Home, Broken Strings

Paul, you have an immense talent fellah and I’d love to spent a festival afternoon listening to your music. I’ve just listened to the suspicion album and to be honest it’s hard to choose a favourite but if pushed I’d go for Big Mouth. I just love its construction, to be honest I love the musical influences in all of them. Anyway, I’m not a critic, I’m just a bloke that loves and appreciates live music, you have a talent fellah. Don’t let it die. Thank you.

That means so much to me. Honestly, that is very kind. I just do music on my own these days, for my own enjoyment. Live music became such a drag that it was more trouble than it was worth. So to get compliments like that is just amazing. Thank you you’ve made my day.
