I’m not that good at going on holiday. I think you’re meant to relax and unwind but my ADHD brain doesn’t let me do that. I have to be active and I’m constantly on the go. The idea of sitting on a sun lounger all day is my kind of hell, since I don’t like the heat either. 

My idea of holiday heaven is going to the Lake District or Scotland. I love being immersed in the landscape, getting close to nature and being away from the crowds. Lovely gentle walks through lush meadows, jaw dropping views of the hills and an ice cream while we feed the ducks. I’m not even a fussy eater, so a simple pub meal will do. I don’t even drink! Listening to some good live music is the perfect way to finish off a day. I don’t need to travel to remote locations or spend a lot of money. I just hope for decent weather and to be with my lovely wife Ange, and I’m happy.
