What would you change about modern society?

The thing I would change about modern society is the media. I would make it less sensational, less biased, more honest, fair and transparent. We have to make news less about click-bait drama, and more about accurate reporting. I think you could do this my breaking up media monopolies, and transferring ownership away from sole billionaires to large groups or shareholders.

The BBC is an example of one such organisation. Now, they have come under fire for being biased in recent years, but the fact is, all sides have accused them of bias, which tells me a lot. In any case, the Chairman and the non-executive members are appointed by HM The King on the recommendation of Ministers, while the other members of the Board are appointed by the BBC through the Board’s Nominations and Governance committee.

The other thing I would do is to regulate the internet and social media, so that anyone creating a social profile or trying to access adult websites would have to give their ID. It’s easy enough to do and it needs doing. It would obliterate all of the fake spam accounts that organisations use to troll people. It would stop bots and AI accounts that are used to harass and lobby, and it would hopefully put an end to children having free rein to access adult material. Nothing is 100% accurate, but it would be a start.

Maybe, just maybe, it would make the news, social media and being online a safer, calmer place to be.

Good idea. But they could create a fake id to get past the setup?

The ones you see these days need you to upload your drivers licence. It would have to be something like that

It would be great to hear your thoughts about this
