Asking what my favourite genre of music is, is like asking me what mood I’m in. Music is so strongly related to my emotions. Music calms me and lifts me. It brings me joy, makes me dance, makes me cry, and brings me passion. When I’m feeling happy I’ll listen to some classic soul, or Ska. When I want to chill I’ll listen to an acoustic playlist, an electronic music playlist, or some London Grammar. If I’m stressed I’ll listen to some classical music, a piano concerto or some cello music. If I’m sad or emotional I’ll listen to opera. When I’m with friends and want some background music, I’ll put on a late night playlist. I like Crowded House, old Bowie, Nothing But Thieves, AC-DC, the Beatles, the Stones, Kate Bush, Puccini, Beethoven, Depeche Mode, Billy Eilish, Bob Dylan, Einaudi, Billy Joel, Pink Floyd, M83, Santana, Stevie Wonder, George Michael, Glen Campbell and London Grammar.
